The brief

Dynamic lighting controls for the world famous building centre. The Building Centre is a hub for the built environment, providing a platform for the exchange and development of knowledge. Established in 1931, the Building Centre is unique in representing and bringing together the different disciplines that form the built environment industry. The evolving programme of events and free exhibitions aim to inspire and inform the sector and the public.

The Project

EPS Lighting was contracted to design and supply an architectural lighting management system for the Building Centre’s facade lighting, located on Store Street, London UK.

The DMX control system, manufactured by Pharos controls, is part of EPS’ extensive range of offerings that compliment the fixture offerings from both EPS Lighting and Elumeros. The solution at Store Street is remotely managed by Elumeros Cloud, a hosted remote access platform that gives maintenance teams and end users remote accessibility into lighting installations worldwide.

The Building Centre features a TPC controller, with a DMX network distributed across the main facade, featuring RDM (remote device management) which allows for the programming, remote feedback and simplified maintenance of fixtures.
